WUAC co-sponsored Critical Orbit: Regulating the Next Generation of Space Tech, a symposium at Penn Carey Law with panels on commercial space, aerospace governance, policy, and national security.
Space regulation is the clearest current example of the club's premise. The engineering is largely solved, and the open questions are legal, commercial, and political.

A virtual conversation with the CEO of Reaxiomatic and founder of Hermeus, on building a hypersonic aircraft company: raising money against a development curve measured in years, and choosing which government customer to build for.

A six-student University of Pennsylvania team from WUAC was one of eight finalists in NASA's inaugural Gateways to Blue Skies: Airports of Tomorrow competition, with a proposal called Carbon Negative: A Modular Approach to Advancing Green Airport Infrastructure.
The concept paired direct air capture with electrified aircraft and ground operations. NASA awarded the team Most Intriguing Concept and invited it to present to the Las Vegas Airport Strategic Planning Committee.
